Start offering cloud servers |
The ElasticStack cloud platform makes it quick, easy and low-cost to offer your customers cloud hosting. No expensive specialist hardware, no upfront investment, and the confidence of fully managed operations if you wish.
ElasticHosts has been a successful, pioneering cloud provider since 2008 in the UK and US, prominent in the industry for its sophisticated scalable platform and easy-to-user web control panel. We are now licensing our proven turnkey cloud platform, under the brand-name ElasticStack.
Why ElasticStack?
Following the launch of ElasticHosts, we received many enquiries from hosting providers seeking to licence our platform.
In response, we launched ElasticStack in June 2010, to enable hosting providers globally to offer cloud servers under their own brands to their local customers and markets.
About ElasticHosts cloud computing solutions
The pioneering ElasticHosts cloud computing technology has been highly successful. A brief history of our development is as follows:
- March 2008: Founded by strong team with extensive traditional hosting experience
- November 2008: Beta launch in UK, becoming 2nd public cloud outside US
- August 2009: Commercial launch in UK, adding 2nd redundant data centre location
- June 2010: US expansion, following revenue growth of 1% every day in UK, becoming 2nd intercontinental cloud (with Amazon)
- June 2010: Launch of ElasticStack
We have received extensive analyst, press and online coverage of and praise for our pioneering scalable model. Within the cloud computing industry, we are highly regarded - we have been repeat speakers at cloud computing conferences, and contributed to the OCCI API standard and the EU Cloud Computing Expert Group.
Our founders and management team
Our founders, Chris Webb and Richard Davies, have more than a decade of collaboration and experience in the web hosting industry behind them. They first met in 1995 when they were both medallists at the International Physics Olympiad, representing Britain. In 1998, whilst studying Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, they founded their first web hosting company Arachsys Internet Services Ltd, and started the development of many of the technologies used by ElasticHosts and ElasticStack today.
